Documentary Subject

An interview could easily be used in a documentary due to how the questions which are asked pertain to the subject of the documentary, or the person that is interviewed is closely related to the topic that is being covered in the documentary.

For a basic interview, I would ask the following:

1) What is your name?

2) What city are you from, where do you live now?

3) Do you like where you live, if you could live anywhere where would it be?

4) What do you do for a living? Are you still attending school?

5) What is your favorite thing to do when you are not at work or school? Why?

6) What do you drive and why, if you could have any car what would it be?

7) How much sleep do you get every night? Do you wish you could get more?

8) Do you think that you manage your time well?

9) If you could change one thing in your life what would it be

10) Why would you change this, and how would it make your life different? If someone told you that you weren't allowed to change this one thing, what would your reaction be?

Music Video

Prison Sex by Tool, my absolute favorite music video ever created, this video contains so many messages and meanings it's almost impossible to put into words. What I believe is responsible for this is the absence of any kind of narrative and how the viewer is responsible for their own interpretation of the video. The visual elements in this video are incredibly unique, stop-motion is used to animate ominous figures in a dark, mysterious location that can't be related to any real place. The video stays in this setting for the duration but explores deeper elements of it, for example the "drawers" that appear to be opened give way to rooms that are of similar size, almost relating to different dimensions. Some of the main moments of the video are when the main character tries to escape and explores it's surroundings in the process, finding finds things that really can't be explained and appear to shock the character. With no signs of an exit, it really gives the feeling that the character is trapped in a place he doesn't even understand. The whole video contains a very ominous feeling that many would consider as dark, and the camera angles represent this as well, they way the shots seem to become more frantic and the camera tends to shake much more when more frightening images are shown. This video definitely defines the song in a new way, it goes without saying what many people would interpret the song as, given the title and some of the lyrics, but the video serves to show that it is nothing of the sort. I've been watching this video ever since it was released and I still pull new things out of it every time I watch it, it's truly an amazing work of video art whether you are a fan of the band or not and I hope that everyone gets the chance to watch it at least once.

About Myself

HI,  my name is Jonah Jaworski and I'm a Junior majoring in new media with a concentration of graphic design at IU South Bend. When im not attending school I usually spend my time consuming different kinds of media such as movies and video games and surfing my phone. I usually like to play a lot of video games in the evening after my classes and not so much any other time of the day. I really enjoy horror games, I end up playing these games the most but I'm not very passionate about horror movies, for films I usually end up watching something in the suspenseful or crime genre. There isn't very many ongoing TV shows that I still watch now, besides The Walking Dead of course, Breaking Bad would definitely be one of my favorites that I've watched a few times, but other than that I can't say I regularly keep up with anything. I thoroughly enjoy creating media at school and if I could create any type of media in the world I would choose to write and direct films. Being a film writer is something I've recently become more interested in doing but I've always been interested in writing, I have been writing my own stories since grade school and a lot of them I would really love to see them into a movie or at least published as a book. While i'm not doing much writing while being in graphic design i'll still get to express myself through the work I create and hopefully begin work as a freelance designer once I graduate college. Expressing myself artistically is why I'm interested in making media, I get to do something that I enjoy doing and pursue my career in the process. I also really like cold nights and bad weather
